great idea, limited depth

User Rating: 8.8 | Pac-Man vs. GC
Pacman Vs. is a stand-alone game that truely takes advantage of the connectivity of the gba, one of very few to do so. This party game is on the idea of one of the four players is pacman and the other three players portray the limited visiblity of being a ghost on screen, and just play pacman...This is a great idea and an instant pick-up and play pending you have all your friends and are willing to deal with a mess of cord tangling. As you win (no matter what your position) you gain points over a certain ammount of rounds, first to a certain amount wins. It becomes unfortunately obvious why they throw in pac-man world 2 because this is all there is to the game. A couple of level designs and the mulitplayer and thats it. However dont think of that as a downfall, this game is a fantastic idea with hours upon hours of fun to be had. This is also a game that can easily be related to gamers and non-gamers alike since the idea behind pacman is essentially a statue of gaming in general. Another turn off to this game also is the fact that you must purchase so many accessories it is nearly unthinkable to spend so much money on one or two experiences with the connectivity to begin with.

The day and age this review was written was by a wii owner and my hope is that this game or a sequel will find its way to the wii and ds connectivity that was so promised by nintendo. Time will tell. Bottom line: this is a game when your friends are over to either prove your geekdom or wow your friends with your "Scavenger-hunting" prowess of the gaming world. but if you dont already have everything you need for this game, the purchase gets a tad tougher when your wallet comes to mind.
