The old arcade classic hits the new arcade. Sure, it's still fun, but the gameplay is bogged down from mimor problems
Gameplay:
The gameplay of Pac-man is simple. You are Pac-man, a yellow circle that eats yellow dots. You are given a stage, dots, ghosts to dodge, and one random fruit/object to eat. Completely eat the yellow dots to finish the stage, but don't get eaten by the ghosts. Simple. However, the old arcade game did not have the control problems that this version does. The analog stick is too overly sensative for the most part. You'll take a turn the go backwards just the the touch of direction. The d-pad doesn't help fix this problem at all either, for it is not sensative enough. The game is still playable, but the minor control problems cause Pac-man to be too hard and frustrating.
Graphics:
Looks just like the old arcade version. Nothing spectacular at all.
Sound:
It's got all the old sounds too. Evryone recognizes them.
Replay:
Depends on who you are. You will keep playing to get the achievements and quit, or get the achievements and keep playing since you love Pac-man. I personally can play Pac-man all day, but not this version for too long.
Overall:
For $5, it's worth it, even with the problems. But don't expect anything amazing. Just fun, with a tad bit of frustration.
