Forget strategy when booting up this game. Just blast everything in sight. Not much story, but sometimes that's a good thing. Well, sometimes. All you need to know is that you play as Daniel, a recently deceased average joe lookin' to hook up with his dead wife in heaven. The catch is in order to accomplish this goal you first need to put a stop to the Hell Wars by assassinating Lucifer's generals thus bringing the bloody conflict to an end. Plenty of great and powerful weapons are at your disposal and the enemies are appropriately grotesque. While not on par with Doom 3 or Halo this is still a good game, and if you're a fan of FPS titles then you should definitely give Painkiller a good, hard look. It's a bloody treat for any self-respecting gorehound...
