Gorgeous little gem, one of my favorites ever for the PC
The basic premise of the game is rather simple: travel across the globe to capture the Fiends released from the titular box of terrors. To do so, you must recreate worldwide works of art that have been scrambled into puzzles. The variety of puzzle types is one of the best parts of the game, while the difficulty of each is appropriately upped as you progress, culminating in some extremely intense levels at the end.
But where this game truly shines is the overall atmosphere of it all. The music is simply breathtaking, with cultural themes mixed in based on which part of the world you are working through. The graphics are astonishing given the year this came out, and the colors and themes of the game complement the actual artwork within perfectly.
In conclusion, Pandora's Box takes a basic premise and blossoms into a true masterpiece. I only wish more people remembered the beauty of this underappreciated puzzler.
