Back, Way back in the day, this is the war game that changed everything for me.

User Rating: 7.3 | Panzer General PC
Before this game was released by SSI, Strategic Simulations Incorporated, I had almost given up on using the computer as a gaming platform. I had always been a long time fan of strategy and battles but at the time in the early 1990's there wasn't much out there. I had a game called Patton’s Revenge. It was a game where the two sides were represented by X's and O's. Of course I thought it was great but still Inside I was wishing that someone would make a game that would be more realistic, have better graphics and better game play. And then I picked up a sampler CD and Panzer General was on the Disc. It was a turn based game with little action cut scenes between each of your moves. You could control every part of the battle. And if you were skilled enough you could have most of your units survive and become more seasoned veterans for future battles. This game has a lot of the things you would see a few years later in the command and conquer series and even Generals.

Overall if you like strategy games and want to see what a good golden age of computer games was like pick this up if you can find it.
