This is a fantastic turn-based war game! Everything including the strategic use of officers, unit leveling and special secondary moves, digging in defensive positions, and the accrual of victory points to purchase new units is done perfectly right in this game, all with an incredibly intuitive interface that packs so much into such little space. If only desktop war-games were done this well. The level of detail in unit stats and their strengths & weaknesses allow for an incredibly immersive experience. I find myself trying to level my newer/weaker units to build an overall stronger army between missions, while savoring the attack strengths of the more experienced verteran units. Finally, strategy is also front and foremost in any mission's objectives; if you're overly eager or spread your units too thin, you can easily find yourself losing even an easy mission. So far, this is my favorite DS game, hands down.
