Parappa the Rapper 2 is a very short game that fails to achieve many things.

I really enjoyed Parappa the Rapper 1. It was revolutionary for its time. Now, its predacessor is here, and I'm strongly disappointed with it. Probably the only great thing about this game is how the game plays. Unfortunately though, this is cancelled out by the very easy story mode. Throughout each song, each combination you must complete never gets harder that pressing buttons faster than a slow hack and slasher. The game does play good, but it's just very easy, and the fun doesn't last for very long. The graphics are absolutely mediocre; even if I had looked at it at its release, I'd still say they were mediocre. Characters are designed 2D in a 3D world. All things visual in this game are pixilated, the character movements are cheesy and bad, and the environments are bland and boring. The next best thing about this game is sound. Each level has a character performing a rap which you must keep up with. Some raps are cool, some are funny, but some parts are just lame. Voice acting is completely cheesy, making it seem like a TV show for toddlers, as well as the sound effects. This game will probably be the shortest game I will ever play in my entire life. Multiplayer or a challenge mode won't even make me touch this game again. Altogether, Parappa the Rapper 2 takes away almost everything good established in the first, and even diehard fans of the original should watch out.
