This game needs to be recognized as a great game, though it does have its flaws.
I tend to hate turnbased games, though there are exceptions, like FF7. And now this. The game has a fun mix of free combat (meaning you can move around all of the time) and turnbased combat (when your time meter builds up, you select your targets and attack them).
The sound (in terms of music) is grandly done, and sounds very good. The sound effects are the same; however, this game desperately needed voiceovers. Though it runs fine, voiceovers would've been a major help.
The story is engaging, the combat (sadly lost in the second game) is amazing, and this is one of my favorite PS1 games, next to Silent Hill and FF7. It's a great game, and expect yourself to love it thouroughly.
