Again, an overly cute but very charming game that features an innovative and addictive gameplay.

If you love LocoRocco, then you may find this charming game another one of your classic favorites. At first, you may be uncomfortable with the commands if you find it hard to tap in rhythmic sequences, but once you get the hang of it (probably around half an hour), you will find yourself beatboxing to it in an attempt to maintain the rhythm!

In short, instead of using one-button commands for your usual game controls like attacking, defending and such, you have to tap in a 4-beat fashion along with the tempo to execute such simple commands like a freakin canoe drummer. The main game is already a knockout where there are progressive challenges, interesting plots and upgrading stuff, and to add to all these, you can engage in some really fun mini-games that also makes use of rhythmic reflexes all in the name of getting the ultimate divine fighter or weapon.

The whole visual outlook is a minimalist beauty with very thoughtfully designed sets and boss characters. Patapon has some very nice and consistent music that compliments well with the cheeky African theme. The voices of the 'Eyeball' warriors are also highly memorable and well-designed and you will get to love the sound "FEVER!!!" a lot as you play. The only problem I can find is that it requires a hundred percent concentration from you and playing it while travelling is impossible. You have to decide whether you want to miss the next beat to kill the boss or miss your stop.
