Peggle 2 is a puzzle game published by EA and developed by Pop cap, following principles from pachinko and pinball, peggle secret is it's charm, and the peggle masters( characters with different abilities for destroying pegs).
You start in the top of the peggle board with a ball shooter that you direct towards the pegs layed out in the board, the goal is to destroy all the orange pegs (from a variety of 4 pegs on the board) and destroying all the other pegs in the process to improve your score, the peg layout is vastly different from board to board, including also moving pegs and armored pegs (which takes two hits to destroy), at the bottom of the board is a moving pot, that each time you get your ball into you get a new shot.
But the real strategy in peggle aside from the calculations made to each shot, is the Peggle master you choose,each with a unique power, this power is activated when you hit the green pegs, and come in various forms from the super guide, to the boulder ball, all work in different ways and make boards easier or harder, depending on the strategy played,there are 5 masters, and a total of 50 boards, the first round you are forced to play with a set peggle master, but after clearing it you can pick your own, trickshots, powers and geometry makes the game addictive as hell, and you can lose yourself trying to overcome each board challenges, there is also a multiplayer, but it is just a high score contest, and doesnt really bring anything new to the series.
In all Peggle 2 is a fun and fine crafted game, but way to light in content to keep you playing for long, there was more content in previous entries, in both boards and peggle masters, this and the lack of more powers/masters make it a bit disappointing.
