Perfect Dark is one of those games that comes around once in a blue moon and blows the doors off of what you thought was possible. From the graphics, to the game play, to the voice acting, to the level design, to the story, and the multiplayer, and even the weapons, this game brings it all. In this game you play as Joanna Dark, newly recruited and perfect score recipient in agent training for the company she works for, Carrington Institute. Daniel Carrington is your boss, and he sends you off on a mystery assignment.
Playing through the story mode is very enthralling. It keeps your attention from start to finish and throws some interesting plot twists at you at all times. The levels are as varied as they are fun to play. You aren't stuck in some dungeon, blasting at creatures all the time. The levels go from office building, to villa, to space, and more. This game is the unnofficial sequel to Goldeneye.
The weapons all have secondary functions as well. There are really difficult but worthwhile unlockables here as well, and the multiplayer supports bots to fight against that range from impossible to shooting fish in a barrel. Some of the Goldeneye levels appear here as well making it an even better experience all around. Drop what you are doing right now and buy this game!
