Finally, not another of those Cooking-Mama style based games. Personal Trainer: Cooking provides clear and concise instructions on how to prepare tasty dishes from around the world, and includes terminology explanations as well as handy example videos. For $20, I'd say you'd be better off with a Rachael Ray "Cook it Yourself!" cookbook, but what kind of cookbook is as portable as a Nintendo DS? PT: Cooking allows you to create a shopping list to take with you to the supermarket, and features a simple calculator to, well, calculate the price. Not bad.
When cooking, I'd recommend you close the screen, because the ultra-sensitive voice recognition thing continues even if you say "Walabaloo" or fry an egg next to it. For a DS style cookbook game, I'd give this an 8.5/10 for its handy tutorials and functions, but a tad pricey for (again,) a cookbook, as well as the major-overtime voice recognition.
