10,000 Steps A Day

I have not beaten this game and I am not really sure if that is possible. I think most people will just get bored of this game before they truly accomplish every aspect of it. There is not really that much to this game. The game is about walking and lots of it. You set daily goals for yourself on how many steps you want to accomplish. The pedometer blinks red until you reach your goal. Currently, my wife and I are playing and our goal is 10,000 steps a day. Supposedly, 10,000 steps a day is good for you and is equivalent to 5 miles.

We transferred our Miis from the Nintendo Wii to the DS to use in the game. At the end of the day we check out the number of steps we have gone using the DS. It provides a bar graph of the number of steps you take throughout the day. If you are actively walking (10 minutes or more) your steps are in red otherwise they are blue. It tells you how active you have been, what the longest time was without any steps, and other fun facts. After you are done it will tell you what type of animal you represent with your walking program and you can stamp a calendar with a three different types of stamps (very happy, happy, and sad).

The game compares your steps from previous days and gives you feedback. It also gives you mini achievements to beat which include "watching your fat intake", "listening to people's stories", and others. There are also mini games that you can play with your steps including line puzzles with fun facts from around the world and illuminate where you find out how much energy you can produce from your number of steps.

Overall, this is a good game, but it is more of a workout helper application than a game. My wife and I are really enjoying it so far and it is motivating us to be more active. Have fun!
