I Give You... Kong! The Eighth Wonder Of the World!
You play as both Kong and Jack, two of the movies main characters. As Jack, which is most of the game, you play a sort of action, survival first person game, using anything you can find to protect yourself. As Kong, you play an action, third person game, where you fight dinosaurs by doing wrestling moves on them (don't get much better than that). The gameplay is fun, but the game is undeniably short. Not that the game is short, it's that there isn't much to do after finishing the final level, except keeping trying the final level until you get the other ending. The Jack levels are most of the game, and for a fair chunk of the game, you'll be fending off dinosaurs, in all sorts of innovative ways. As Kong, you'll fight dinosaurs and protect Ann Darrow, who spends most of the game in her undergarments (woooo!). Kong is especially fun, though it's good that his levels are only in small doeses, because it would become old, fast, if it occured any more frequently. The graphics on the characters are great, and it makes you feel like you are running from dinosaurs along side with Jack Black. The game does experience frame rate problems in the more detailed action sequences, and yes, it is mildly annoying, though if you just keep doing what your doing, you can out last the frame rate. The levels objectives are very simple, though somehow, do not become repetitive the first time through, I don't know how though. All the actors lend their voices for the characters, and the Kong and dinosaur sound effects are brilliant, and give you that real Skull Island feel.
King Kong is a great movie adaption, and is recommended to anyone with a love for taking on things bigger than yourself.
