Compelling and Stunning visuals but lacking gameplay.
User Rating: 5 | Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie X360
King Kong is one of the first games to be released on the 360 console based off the Peter Jackson version of the movie released in 2005, which had great potential but does a 180. Truly the game looks magnificent but graphics don't make a game. It has to have the best or high up on list for best graphics for a game on the 360. Its your generic movie based game where you know your only going to beat once because there is no replay value, there is nothing brining you back to play it other than to see the nice visuals, but then there are a few fun points in the game you would like to replay but not to go through the game again. Guns felt weak and made you run out of ammo pretty fast. I thought it was pretty cool that the game had parts that you played as King Kong but they weren't as good as I hoped. I do say it's a ok game but nothing special about it other than the graphics. It deserves a rental in my opinion but not a buy, after one play through unlocking all achievements there's nothing keeping you playing so a rental will cover that.
Summary: Superb graphics. Mediocre game play. No replay value. Just another run of the mill movie games that have nothing special.
