Peter Jackson, known well for "The Lord of the Rings", created a stellar blockbuster, hitting theaters as a long but great film. King Kong. This game wasn't quite as emotional or slow-mo drama as the movie. Instead it's fast-paced, beast-blowin' action. Obviously you're stranded on an island with a group that survived a big crash, and you have to face the butt-ugly creatures that live there. As gamespot said, you play as both Jack Driscol (first-person shooting) and Kong (beastly destruction.) You do play a considerable amount more as Jack, but both shooter and destruction fans should get a kick out of this one. Blow their brains out with tommys, shotguns, snipers, pistols, or spears, or snap their jaws as the eighth wonder of the world. It's a win-win situation (unless you die.) The hard label I put on this one is because things pop out at you when you're not ready, and you'll find yourself dead several times throughout the game. The things popping out make the game a little creepy, but shooting the s*** out of these monsters is sooooo satisfying. It might not be too long, but it feels long, trust me. Also, you might get stuck in this game a few times, so for help, check out IGN.com. Don't pass up your chance to get a great, addicting game at your local gamestop. This one gets an 8.1. BUY IT!!!!
