Kong's PS2 debut.
THE ISLAND.
The island you'll be wandering around in is called Skull Island full of monsterous creatures and wildlife. The type of enemies you'll be fighting are Dinosuars, Natives and sickly creatures from crabs to scorpians even crocidile like things that swin underwater and scuttling megapedes.
But since you'l be harrased by these things you can't really stop and admire the view and you wish you could because the enviroment is surpurb.
THE WEAPONS.
Since this is the 1940's-1930's you can expect some pretty tacky hardware to get your hands on. Ranging from luger pistols to tommy guns and springfield sniper rifles. Throughout the levels you'll see cartes scattered all over the levels which contain weapons. It's vital you collect them. since theres not much ammo around the levels you'll want to use spears which are impaled to the ground for weapons. Spears are used for many things, Weapons, Fire and even bait. If you press R2 with a spear equipped you can stab a giant maggot for a spider or even a giant wasp and throw the spear. With the bait latched onto the spear you can hold L2 to ready your ain and then press R2 to throw the spear and make your enemy go for the food. It's the sam with fire, you use fire to burn some brush to reveal a pathway or just use it as an effective weapon. It can also be used to burn brush to stop enemies from getting towards you. If you are out of ammo and your mate has a weapon you can press X to call him and press X again to get him to throw his weapon towards you. If you have a weapon with ammo and he does you can still throw weapons towards each other and you'll swap.
THE MONKEY.
Playing as Kong isn't all that great, he only has a couple of attacks all that arn't that exciting. Once you've done about 3 Kong sections, you'll probably know what the others will be like when you have to go through another Kong section. The last level where Kong has been captured and gets taken to an exhibt in New York and he goes on a rampage and he eventually goes up The Empire State Building and falls to his death, that should have been abit longer and you don't get to cause as much carnage as you would of hoped.
THE CONCLUSION.
Over all, King Kong is a great game, with some minor errors here and there but it's a good experiance and it's great while it lasts it will definatly have you entairtained but it's over before you know it. It's quite easy but if you have that nerve racking problem then King Kong will leave you nerve racked. It's a good test to see if you can handle the sketchy moments when a T-REX comes and bites your head off. If you are a fan of movie games then King Kong is the game for you. Go buy it and enjoy it.
