King Kong is a great but it's too short!

King Kong is one of the most enjoyable movie to game adaptations i have played in a long time. This game is divided in two parts.. the major part (which takes 80% of the game) has you controlling Jack in a first person shooter. You'll get to fire guns and spears against all sorts of insects and dinos. The next part of the game has you control King Kong in a third person perspective. I wish they had more King Kong levels because they do kick major butt!

The graphics are great and very detailed... you will suffer slowdowns on the PS2 but it shouldn't affect the gameplay. Everything looks wonderful, the locations, the character models and foes you'll face.

The sound is amazing... I'm sure all the characters that talks in the game had the actual actors do the voice-overs because they sound just like them. The jungle noises adds to the tension and the music is top notch.

The gameplay is standard FPS and Third Person action but it's very well done. This game contains no HUD and uses sound cues to let you know how many bullets you have... how banged-up you are. Very well done!

The only downfall of the game is that it's too short! You will be able to finish the game in around 6 to 7 hrs. There's no real value of replaying it.

In the end Kong Kong is a very polished game that deserves to be a sure rental. Even in the bargain bin this game has lots of value for your buck.
