I think that just about all of us know how video games based on movies end up. That's right, in the bargain bin. King Kong belongs anywhere but the bargain bin, it's absolutely solid. If you've seen the great movie (which is possibly the best movie of 2005), you can expect just as much action, adventure, and intensity from the game. The game plays similar to other shooters, except it does a better job at making the experience fun. You play as Jack and you are trying to save Ann from the giant monkey himself. Trust me, it's not as easy as it sounds. You'll fight off giant centipedes, giant bats, and even dinosaurs before you even get a glimpse of the big ape. It's all worth the wait though, because then you get to play as Kong. Let's just say that playing as Kong is so much fun that you can't help yourself from banging your chest repeatedly and screaming like a gorilla. Overall, King Kong is probably the best movie based game of all time (besides maybe Star Wars games) and will leave you breathless with its impressive visuals, amazing sound, and fun gameplay.
