Does king kong on the psp work? The answer is yes.

User Rating: 8.4 | Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie PSP
King Kong is a port from all of the other sytems it has been released on. It features the same levels, characters, and weapons from the ps2 version. The game IS in first person, just in case you were wondering, so you will be using the face buttons you aim, and surprisingly, it works alot better than it did on coded arms. The graphics are great, and are very similar to the ps2 version's. You will use the arrow buttons to reload and change weapons, and the left trigger to jump, and obviously, the analog stick to move your character. All the controls feel pretty smooth and rarely have any flaws. Speaking of flaws, there are a few graphical and sound glitches. When playing as Kong trying to save the women, the women repeatedly yells, "Kong! Help!!" And she never says anything else, and this gets very annoying, considering the level lasts at LEAST 10 minutes long. Graphical glitches include dead bodies falling into the ground, and few textures don't come out right but other than those few things, the game is pretty well done. Weapons in the game include spears, bows, machine guns, and pistols. The guns shoot very well and sound very realistic also. One more problem I will go over is the game length. The length of the game, as in the console versions, is only about a half an hour, which is pretty underwhelming for the most hardcore kong fans. It sucks because the game is SO enjoyable, but its all over so fast. Overall, Ubisoft did a fantastic job transporting this game to the amazing sony handheld and for anyone that owns a psp, you should definitley give this game a try. It is very fun to play on the road, and even sitting on your couch in your home. King Kong is easily one of the more impressive psp games out there right now.
