A great adventure romp similar to Turok. Just don't expect a lot of playtime.

This is one of the few Gamecube shooters that work, and work well. In King Kong, you play as either Jack or Kong from the movie. The two play very different. As Jack, you play through the game as a FPS, and this is where some surival horror kicks in, like in Dino Crisis, so you should expect raptors popping out at you. The health system is worth mentioning since it's the same as the one in CoD2, but instead of taking multiple hits like Vasili, Jack can only withstand 2 or 3 hits depending on the enemy. Kong can take loads more punishment though, but dinosaurs can put him in a death grip in which you'll have to press buttons very fast to break away, or you die gruesomely in one hit(it's kinda sick when Kong gets so covered in bats, you can't seem him as they all eat his flesh, or when a big snake bites his head off. Kong is where most of the fun is to be had though, and his levels play out like a beat em' up. King Kong, sadly is very short since you can beat it in 5-8 hours depending on skill level. But for $20 it's one heck of a thrill ride.
