The Phantasy Star Collection is one of the greatest collections ever released
I'll will comment on some of the simularities and diffrences. Phantasy Star I had around five save spots back on the Sega Master System, the graphics are a bit slower while moving in the dungeons, there was absalutly no change in graphics. Phantasy Star II had three saves before and now its down to two, and once again there was no effort in changing graphics. Phantasy Star III GoD, didn't get changed in anyway.
I also think the price that I bought the game at was very good, I bought it for $7.00 used with case, manual and tech poster. --Great Deal--
One thing I didn't understand is why they didn't include Phantasy Star IV EoM. That would of made this collection event better than what it is now.

Phantasy Star 1

This was a very good and difficult game, although it really doesn't tell you much on where to go. The graphics are good (for the time it was made). The characters are unforgettable and the story is nice. The one thing that stricked me as diffrent (since this was the last game in the series that I played) was the dungeons first person view, it made the game seen more interesting. There are four characters in this game to have on your party and three (I think) big planets to explore. Overall this is a a good game for the seasoned RPGist.

Now this was deffinetly the best game in the collection, it had the best graphics and the most playable (I think eight characters) it has huge worlds to explore spaned on three planets. This game is deffinetly the best in the collection, it was the game that revolutionized RPGs. PS2 lasts for a long while, the dungeons can take up to an hour to explore, and to get new charaters you have to visit new towns then return to your hometown to recruit the new members. This once again is an overall good game for seasoned RPGists as well.

I think the Phantasy Star Collection is a great set of games for any person who enjoys long, tediuos RPGs, so go pick up a copy and get playing.
