One of the best cooperative multiplayer modes in gaming history.

I've played alot of cooperative multiplayer games, and few compare to Phantasy Star Online. Dosen't get much better than running around with up to 3 friends fighting bizarre and interesting creatures on large and intricate levels. After completing each level, players have the option of returning to the city where they can buy hundreds of different weapons, armour, potions, spells and more to use at their disposal. They can also sell anything they acquire on their adventures and build up an enourmous bank account to spend on an extremely powerful suit of armour or weapon. Teamwork is required to succeed on multiplayer mode, which makes it all the more enjoyable. The bosses are very challenging and players are rewarded greatly for finally defeating each one. Each character has his or her own special moves that have very unique effects, so these become crucial to the whole team later on in the game. I would say this is a must for any small group of friends that loves fantasy role-playing games, because when it comes to cooperative multiplayer, character-building games, it dosen't get much better than this.
