Great Battle and Weapon Systems. Story is not as engaging as others in the Phantasy Star series, Still a great game.

The complexity of the weapon system and the versatility of types made this game for me. The job classes (Hunter, Ranger, etc.) make for a better experience if you get bored with melee, switch to guns! bored with guns, switch to Tech! If you want a completely different experience try a different race!
The battle system reminds me of playing Final Fantasy: Crisis Core. The locking on system is a little cumbersome and takes some getting used to, but overall the battles can be as complex and engaging as you want them to be.
The story line was not my favorite, but that may be the only short coming I can find with this game. The other problem may be the inability to ever answer a question correctly during the game and the fact that the main character never speaks.

Still a very solid game and if you enjoy role-playing games with deep engaging weapons and battle system, you will love it.
