A refreshing and cute RPG worthy of playtime. Don't let the graphics discourage you!
Here are some basics: Strategy, turn-based RPG. A remake. Casual. Ash is a Phantom--someone who is stuck between life and death---who guards and mentors a Chroma (who can see Phantoms) named Marona. Marona, also known as "The Posessed", is a young, naive, yet kind-hearted girl who uses her powers to help save people around her from evil.
Pros:
-Easy to understand concepts.
-Creative deviation from standard RPGs for Wii.
-Likable story.
-Easy controls
-Infinite ways to customize your own unique team.
-Music fit appropriately with the stages and situations.
-Effective plot twisters appropriately incorporated into storyline.
-Lots of great post-game content.
Cons:
-Ugly graphics.
-Main character can be frustrating at times with her mediocre stats and naive personality.
-Requires a good amount of grinding.

My journey through PB was an exciting one, but thankfully not too addicting. It was the kind of game which I played whenever I was in need of entertainment. There is a lot more to this game than its actual appearance! I'm really hoping to see a much fresher version of PB if NIS decides to make it for WiiU! Phantom Brave was really worth those 40+ hours I put into the game. It has definitely earned a place on my list of favorites this year despite its flaws!
Hope this review has helped!
