Gameplay: 9/10
Phantom Dust boosts the level of uniqueness to the next level. In it's gameplay, you are assigned to buy, trade, sell skills in the game or with other players on Xbox-Live™. You can collect a total of 300 skills [or more with the Xbox-Live™ Update]. You take the skills and build an arsenal which you use on the battlefield. Now, when you fight, you can use your selected arsenal with your skils inside and fight the enemy. Each skill has it's on uniqueness, weakness, and strength. The skills are vaped with special FX, to look good and still win against your enemy at the same time. Skills can allow you to levitate, control the enviroment, erase the enemies skills, etc. The game is fantastic and is a blast, especially the compelling storyline presented in Phantom Dust only leaves you off to find out the "truth" and see what happened and who you really are.
Graphics: 9/10
Whether it be the lighting effects or the design of the levels the graphics are truly a blessing in this game. The levels are very well designed and have it's on uniqueness to them. Each one has there own story to tell. The enviroments are lush and rich with detail. Also the entire underground city is very well designed and show you that the world did end and that "mankind" is trying to manage on very slim resources. The lighting and shadowing effects are great, also the fully destructable environments are great, and useful against your enemy. Each skill that you use has its own special effect and matches the description of the skill almost flawlessly. The graphics are something to appreciate.
Sound: 10/10
The sound effects and music are the greatest of this game. Inside the underground city, the sounds & music perfectly portray each room or menu. On the battlefield, the skills special effect has its very own sound effect, and to think that there are over 300 skills, it's crazy. The music for each level is fantastic, though it may not seem like music to you, it perfectly matches the level completely.
Value: 10/10
.........................Oh c'mon. The game is 20$ that's as much as a Platinum Hit, and the game is fantastic! To think the price will drop, and it's still such a great game. It's a cheap title but it's all worth the 20 bucks.
My Tilt: In the end, I think this game is great, but not the best, like I always say "No game will ever meet your expectation". This game came pretty close though. The game is awesome and cheap but I truly think gamers over-look this game. Though underappreciated, the game is one of the best sleepers I've had the honor to play. I give this game a 9 out of 10.
