There is nothing big about Pictochat. It is a thing in your DS that you can use to talk to other people around you. I'm not sure if you can use this on Wi-Fi or not, but I would guess yes. You talk to the other person and say anything you want. The top screen shows the messages (yours and your friends) and the bottom shows the letter, numbers, etc. that you use. You can use the control pad to select them or use the stylus. Then send the message. You can have up to 16 friends in a chat room. And if you are a weird person and talk to yourself then you can just talk to yourself. Pictochat is basically a fun extra for the DS.
