Great fun!
You play the game as Captain Olimar. In the first game you crash landed on a mysterious planet and all the pieces of your ship were scattered across the planet and you had 30 days to find all of your ship pieces before you would run out of your oxygen supply. In this second game, you have returned to your planet only to find that the business you work for is being forced into bankruptcy and the company has to sell your ship! In the process of them taking your ship away they find one of the items that you brought with you from the planet you crashed on, they find that the item is worth tons of money and so the boss sends you back to the planet to collect items to help satisfy the debt so they don't have to go out of business.
On the planet are pikman, creatures that come in many colors, each color pikman has a sort of special ability. You just have to find them :)
(blue pikman can swim in water, red pikman are resistant to fire and so on) When you land on the planet for this second time the pikman remember you and come to your aid immediately. So, you begin your search for riches with your little helpers by your side to help fight against the horrible creatures that also inhabit this planet.
This game is a lot of fun and also features a great multi-player mode where you can race, with your pikman, to see who can collect a certain amount of yellow orbs before the other. It also has a special ball that you can capture from your opponents base and you can win a lot faster with this.
