I have had PIkmin 3 for a while now. I haven't beaten it yet for a variety of reasons. However the game is very creative like its predecessors and a ton of fun to play. I will start with what i don't like. The Pikmin are basically defenseless unless you happen to throw them onto hostile enemies. I also don't like the fact that you have to collect fruit to eat or its "GAME OVER". Also the control scheme seems to work better with the wii remotes but I tend to play with a Pro COntroller.
Complaints aside, this is a beautiful and well thought out game. The game isn't too hard, in fact if you mess up you can just replay an older day or the same day easily. You have 99 days to beat the game. I was only in the 30s and I have gotten pretty far. The game The whistle technique adds strategy to combat as you must keep your Pikmin army engaged and following orders, even when facing a variety of fearsome creatures.
Ultimately its very satisfying to not only use Pikmin to take down dangerous "animals" but also to also make them work together for a variety of tasks. For example a group of rock Pikmin can break crystal or you can use yellow pikmin to knock down electrified fences. The game isn't the easiest, but its a unique experience that few games on the Wii U or any system can deliver.
