Worth more then an 8, this is based on gameplay, graphics, characters, boss battles, hours spent and game conclusion.
Graphics are great, i can see why Nintendo had to push this game back a bit to perfect HD graphics, the shine on the leaves of the plants in the scenery to the clarity of the water elements to the game.
Characters start off annoying however do grow on you especially as the plot progresses towards its conclusion.
Boss battles are all unique and requires you to prepare your Pikmin based on each boss and the time limit, a true challenge.
Hours spent, i checked my Wii u for the specifics, 23 hours 59 minutes, i missed 1 fruit and 1 log file so all up if you were you were to complete 100% it will probably be a 24 hour game.
And the games conclusion is what made this game for me, such a unique last boss battle that i haven't seen in ages, the build up in the last battle kind of reminded me of GlaDos in portal 2 but truly unique and for these reasons i believe its worth a 9/10.
