Really a blunder with the day system

For me, Pikmin fell a little short of what I wanted. The game was nice and original, never before have i played something like this, but the day thing was a big fun killer for me. Sometimes you would like to collect pikmin but you can't with that clock chasing you down like pikmin fans chase pikmin 3. The difficulty was good though. Love how it took 100 for a single bulbax or bulbear (Contrary to the 2nd where u need about 40, or even 5 purple!!) and i love how it took me 300 pikmin on the final boss (Mind you this was a long time ago, i have not touched this game in a while but i remember it quite well). The other annoyance was you can never leave when YOU want. you need x parts to be able to move on, even if the last parts will make you go through hell itself to get them, which the often do. The challenge mode wasn't that bad and was mildly entertaining but still was too short to give you the real meat of the game. Another thing about the story was it gave you a good feeling to see your whole pikmin squad going back to base with 2 treasures and about 10 enemy carcasses. All in all, this game was good but really needed that extra umph to make it one of the best games of all time.
