This game is the first Pirates of the Caribbean game for a handheld console and it gets the job right!!!!
Gameplay: If you maybe saw the latest movie of Pirates of the Caribbean then you will probaly know what to expect from this game. You play as Jack Sparow and you play as the movie goes along the way. You have some great features in this game for example: There are lot of stuff to do like climbing, fighting, jumping from rope to rope etc. The second thing is that the story is the same as the movie's which is kinda cool. But like many games I had a couple of easues in this game. The first one is that there are some lags from time to time. The second thing and the biggest problem is the combat system which needs to improve a lot. When there are 10 monsters attacking you, you can't make a combo that hits all of them at the same time, you just attack one at a time which just sucks. I forgot to mension that I have another problem with the game: I did all the levels including the treasure areanas and the final boss, after that is says that I have 65% and then I don't know where I need to go which is kind of a bumber.
Graphics: The graphics in this game are really great for a PSP game. Jack looks really great, the areas look really cool and the enemies look better than the playstation 2 version which is amazing. There is a problem that you can go sometime throught walls but that doesn't buther me at all.
Sound: The sound in this game will be really familiar to those who saw the movies. The sound of the enemies and the fighting sound really well done but the big thing is the music which sounds really incredible (like the music in the movie). There are also some great voiceovers which includes the voiceover of Johny Depp which is really cool.
Value: You can play this game for hours and hours trying to finish the game. The story is really challenging and long and the online mode will keep you busy for hours to come. The onliy problem in the online mode is that there are some lags when you are fighting each other with boats.
Reviewer's tilt: Overall this game is an awsome adventure game for the PSP and you should definitely want to go and try this one out especially if you are a Pirates of the Caribbean fan.
