Great addictive game that takes some skill and planning.

Seems like all the not so great reviews are all hinging on the "time limit". Normally, I would be in that group because I hate, hate, hate time limits. But in PJE the limit can be extended by moving through the level with skill.

I admit, it does get frustrating but most games that are skill based get frustrating a bit as you learn them. The reward just need to outway that frustration and in PJE the feeling of conquering a level far outways the frustrations.

I think the real problem with PJE its that it could have been a very diffrent game without the time limit. It would have been a true "casual" game. In fact, they should have thrown in a "kids" mode (as in Viewtiful Joe) or a "casual" mode for people who would have liked that version of this game.

I like a game that offers some challange and because the time can be extended in very strategic ways, it feels like a very well balanced game. Each time you re-play a level you learn the level and how best to approach it.

The game is also great to look at and listen. The music is integrated with the game play like Every Day Shooter or Rez. Give it a zen feeling when you are playing it well.

Maybe they will put out a patch or add a casual mode. I think that would appease some of the complaints. But then again, the game wsa not designed to be a pure casual game like "flow". Its a classic skill/puzzle game. And it deserves quite a bit of praise.
