If you are looking for a simple, yet addicting strategy game to play solo or with a friend, you just hit the jackpot!!!
Though this game is officially classified as "real-time strategy," PJM is almost more of a puzzle game. Since the waves of enemies are the same no matter how many times you play each level, there is a lot of experimentation to find just the right positioning of towers which will help you defend your helpless base the best. It's quite satisfying when you finally find the right combination of structures to successfully defend your cuddly things.
The gameplay is solid and simple, but the charming nature of it makes it fresh. Everything in the game, from the simple, yet crisp visuals, the playful melodies of the soundtrack, and two-button control scheme simply exude charm. I am a fan of God of War, Bioshock, Uncharted, Call of Duty 4, and Heavenly Sword, but PJM is a wonderful and brilliant diversion from the dark and complex games that usually catch my fancy. At 8 dollars, this game is an absolute steal!!!
