Addictive, But Nothing Beyond That

User Rating: 6.5 | Planet Monsters GBA
Summary: Very fun but lacks basics. Graphics are very poor. Music is fun but not memorable. Gameplay is a blast. Save system is very annoying and the menus are confusing. Story simply sets up gmaeplay.

Graphics: 5.0
The grapics are very bland. The only difference between the different worlds is the different colors of the jelly blocks.

Music: 8.0
The music is a fun series of 8-bit music. The music fits well for the stages. I really enjoyed the boss music but can't remember it for squat.

Presentation: 5.0
The story is a sentence explaining the gameplay. The first language is French. The save system is a series of passwords. I keep inputting the same password because it is the only one I can remember.

Gameplay: 9.0
The gameplay is the reason to buy the game. You play a monster that is trying to take out all the other monsters. You do this by pressing the A button to kick jelly blocks at your opponent. If they are hit they lose a life and when they lose all thier lives they are premenatly out of the round. Using this simple mechanic you can create traps for your enemies. There are also items you can use such as bombs and jelly guns. These are a whole lot of fun to use and keep the gameplay fresh. The diffuculty selection makes it so it will take longer to get bored. Thrown onto the gameplay field are creatures that will attack only your monster. This is cheap but it also forces you to stay on your toes so you don't run into one.
