Very happy with this RTS

User Rating: 7 | Planetary Annihilation PC

To put it shortly, a fellow player of mine said "this game has ruined all other RTS's for me" and i couldn't agree more. this game is absolutely something to behold, a fresh never been done before rts.

the game at the moment is online only (even single player) but that will change coming soon. other points i have been seeing is theirs only one faction, well this was designed this way to be a truly competitive game online, there are no "this race owns all", everyone is even.

instead of playing on your old flat map with four corners, where you only have to defend the entries into your base, PA took it up a notch, you play on PLANETS<----notice the "s" one battle can be played on 2, 3, 4 even 8 planets total. Attacks can come from anywhere, even from orbit and that's not even the best part. Most rts games "game enders" come in a mega unit or nuke, not in PA sure you still have nukes, but in PA you can use the planets as weapons of very massive destruction. Take off from one planet and capture a small moon, build massive engines on the moon turn them on and send that moon on a collision course to an enemies planet and watch them disappear from existence. moons as weapons not your style? capture and hold a metal planet and build large structures called "catalyst" once you have all the catalyst built, reactivate the metal planet and its now a planet vaporizing laser straight out of star wars.

all though i love this game, i gave it a 7 there's still work to be done here, but rest assured the devs at uber are awesome. below is a small list of features that are coming soon;

Offline play, more mod support, DRM free, and the list goes on.

in closing this game is all about massive battles, not 200 units duking it out im talking thousands of units from land, air, sea, and orbital fighting for control and on a mission to annihilate everything.

if you want to check out the game or ask a question head over to the official web page, the community is great, Devs included. 7/10
