Plants vs Zombies is a perfect time killer that will appeal to any kind of gamers. Its pure fun again and again.
As soon as the curiosity pushes you to buy this game, you will find out this games exceeds your expectation.
The game is simple, yet fun is written all over the place. The Zombies want to eat your brain and they are "coming" -- at first through your lawn during the day and then in the night, then they try to enter your home through the backyard-- failing which, they resort to your roof. Finally when all things fail, their boss Dr Zombot attacks you on your roof.
How do you fight the Zombies? Your weapon is the plants-- the pea shooter, the star fruit, potato mine, chomper, Jalapeno, Walnuts... and a host of wacky food items. If you think these things are weird as weapons, wait till you meet the zombies.
Zombies come in all shapes-- the common ones, the ones wearing traffic cones or buckets, some has pole vaults, football (no, Rugby-- football is not played by hands, ye Americans) player zombie, Micheal Jackson look-alike Disco Zombie, hilarious looking crazy Jack-in-a-box Zombie etc etc. Each of them will both entertain and irritate you.
The game demands that you collect sunlight as points to power up your attacking or defending plants. higher sun points allow you to deploy the stronger plants against Zombies.
The game's core is the adventure mode in which you play against the Zombies and eventually, at the final level, win the game by beating Dr Zombot. The Zombies concede defeat and would request you to let them attend your disco party eventually.
But that's not all. the game has mini games offering off-beat challenges, and then there are different sets of puzzles and finally you have Survival Day challenges. Plus, you will have a Zen Garden where gardening plants will give you rewards (money to buy higher weapons or defences).
The size of the game is cooperatively small. Don't let it fool you. its fun, I promise and much better than most of the games in the market.
