Glitches are no fun....

Let's start with the graphics. They are outstanding for a pokemon game. The new camera angle adds more depth to the scenery and the constantly moving sprites are fun.

The new pokemon are very odd at first and in all honesty, I hated them at the start. Although I hated them, they grew on me and the Unova region is currently my favorite region. The new starters have a decent stat total of 528, two less than the Hoenn region starters. Some of the new pokemon(excluding legendary pokemon) have a more vital role in the story. For instance the new pokemon Munna, who is based off of a pokemon description from pokemon red/blue/yellow, emits a special substance that turns dreams into reality and Team Plasma plans to use the substance to seperate humanity from pokemon forever.

Now to get to the main point of this review. Glitches aren't any fun. There is a common glitch that has happened quite frequently that involves a pokemon 1-hit killing a pokemon, but leaving it's HP at 1 even though it is dead. When this happens, you can't switch pokemon or run from the battle and then the game either crashes or the opponent keeps attacking until struggle. At this point struggle cant hit a pokemon so it doesnt take damage and therefore the battle cannont resolve, meaning you have to hard reset your DS system and load it up to your last save. This problem for some reason tends to occur whenever something great happens (ei: catching a shiny pokemon or obtaining a pokemon with the right nature and IV's) and it is very troublesome. The hours possibly spent obtaining the pokemon were a waste and you have to work to get that pokemon all over again.

This glitch is the reason why I cannot give it the 9/10 I was planning on giving it.
