A great game to the series.
This game plays well for it's lastest entry to the series, the game seems to impress with it's new camera motions while acrossing the vase world to catch your new Pokémon pals!
I'll start of to explain, that i am not one to follow a full game series. The last Pokémon game i played was the original Gold and Silver way back around 2000. The game has always sat in my heart as one of the best experience in handheld RPG you could ever get.
From the old pace of the oringial Pokémon games, going from the black and white colour version of Red and Blue, to the Pikachu following Pokémon yellow, they've always known how to build interest into the series.
This interest grew strong for me with the new Pokémon black and white games, seeing as i hadn't played one in almost 8-10 years. The new game went well with my fresh Nintendo 3DS.
As i started of the game with the grass type Pokémon, i was seeing all the new improvements they had been adding since Gold and Silver. The game ran smoothly, getting from place to place was simple, maps were well easy to understand, the game in general was just a huge update to what it needed to be.
Pokémon centers are now, no longer the only place to heal your wounded Pokémon, you can find certain houses to rest and heal them up. Or winning against a beloved Pokémon nurse, and asking them to heal your poor Pokémon. This made farming for new Pokémon soo much easier, or fighting through the woods less of a drag. As you no longer needed to run back and forth from town to heal a ill Pokémon of yours.
With every great upside to a game, there will always be a downside to a game.
With Pokemon Black, it had the same thing, it wasn't the gameplay it's self, nor the machanics of how the game ran. It was the lack of ideas for making the Pokémon themselves.
There is alot of Pokémon out there that you have to catch with the most silly name they could think off. It felt like they really had no idea on what they were making when they came with Pokémon Black and White.
There is a Pokémon named "Trubbish" the image of this Pokémon is a 'bag of trash.'
This isn't just the only Pokémon out there, there is ones that take the shape of an ice-cream cone.... This was just poor game design for me.
But i wont down rate the game, because it has poor names and drawing design of Pokémon. This is a huge step in the right direction for game play.
**In short, this is another amazing entry to the Pokémon series. If your a fan of Pokémon, this isn't one for you to skip. If your a fan of RPGs, then this is a great game to play on the Nintendo 3/DSi handhelds.**
