One of the worst GameCube games!

User Rating: 2 | Pokemon Channel GC
Sequels or spin-offs for bad games (Hey You! Pikachu) means bad games. This is the case with Pokemon Channel.

No, wait! Pokemon Channel is so low on interactivity that it shouldn't even be considered a game. Pokemon Channel works on this basis: Every day, you watch TV with your Pikachu. The "game" uses the GCN's internal clock to count real time as game time. As the days fly by (from playing better games, I suppose), more channels are unlocked, which means more junk like Quiz Wobbuffet and Pichu Bros.

Some of this TV is fun to watch, but the fact that almost all of the animated sequences can't be skipped is annoying, especially if you've already seen them.

After a while, your Pikachu will find a Pokemon Mini under your bed. You can actually play games on it, but these serve only as a distraction in those much-deserved moments when you aren't watching TV. I find that it is sort of cool you can buy demos of actual Pokemon Mini games from the in game shop.

The most annoying thing: If you leave the Pikachu alone for a while, it will buy random stuff with your hard earned points! Yeah, like you'll even be playing this poor excuse for a game, anyways!

The final verdict: Trash it.
