its alright, but why mess with the tried and true formula?

When You all heard about Pokemon Colluseum you, like myself, probably thought it would be a 'cube version of Pokemon Stadium, one of my favorite N64 games. But what do they do, the make an RPG. So then you think that its like the Pokemon RPGs on gameboy, all good. But then they take the tried and true formula and mess with it. Insted of walking from city to city, battling wild pokemon and trainers along the way, you are in a flippin desert and fight no wild pokemon whatsoever. I know they get annoying at times but I dont think taking them out of the game entirely was nessesary. 'Than how do you catch pokemon' you may ask. A simple answer, you steal them! You capture "Shadow" pokemon that have been captured, turned evil, and givin out to people by a charitable, yet evil orginization. You were in the orginization, but turned traitor, blew there base skyhigh and ran away with a machine that allows you to steal them. Insted of starting with one level 5 pokemon like the others, you start with 2 at level 28 or so. Cool pokemon, but it takes something away from the training process. They even changed the battleing, making every battle a 2 on 2 affair, insted of the usual 1 on 1 with a 2 on 2 here and there. Overall, they tried to put a new spin on the Pokemon genre, a spin that wasnt nessesary. If you like Pokemon, youll enjoy this game, but not love it. Pokemon, stick to the classic formula from now on.
