I've always thought pokemon were cool, but seeing them beat the crap out of each other was cooler, and now it's on 3D!
A new system here is the loss of tall grass, resulting in the inability to catch wild pokemon. So how do you get new pokemon? Some evil company is "closing the door to the hearts of pokemon". The result? You have to catch and purify these pokemon. you basically purify them by simply walking around and using them in battle. A purifyed pokemon is one who can fight just like normal pokemon.
The strategy I mentioned before? now you have to choose which attacks you use against the enemy. Isn't that what you had to do with the other games? Well, yes, but this time, there's the elemental capacities, as well as the fact that there'll be two enemies on the field, and you have to choose which one to attack. Not to mention that their elements might counter their allies' elements.
All around, even if this does have the weakness that all pokemon games share, the new incorporations into the game allow for better gameplay, and it's on a 3d surface. I'd say buy this game, but if you don't like it, return it, it's not the best of it's kind.
