Pokemon Colosseum was intended to be a bigger, better version of the Pokemon franchise. Sadly, the game lacks the length, depth and sheer numbers to make it as a Pokemon game. It's not all bad, however, the graphics ar decent, the controls are simplistic the the point of idiocy, and the effects of Pokemon attacking in real 3-D are nice, if a bit repititve. My main complaint is the length of the game, and the crap-tacular music. It sounds just as bad as the Game Boy and GBA counterparts in music and SFX that sound 8-Bit at best. The only REAL time in the game's length is LEVELING UP. As in the other games, you WILL spend a lot of time leveling up. This tired tactic of stretching out a game is the worst. After all, if you are spending all this time, why not spend it finding pokemon instead of wandering around and fighting endless battle after battle. Still a Pokemon gmae, but not a great one. I'd recommend a rental for newbies. Fans of the series, buy it for the $20 it's priced at, or get it used.
