the game is a basically a remake of a previous pokemon games though the pokemon games are good they need new material.

Yes poke-mon is one of the biggest franchises there is, newcomers and old fans alike for the most part enjoy playing them, and they have a huge fan base and demand for their games but they have essentially been using the same game formula for years and though that is a winning formula it is old. Sure they added a few poke-mon here and there among other things to make it seem new but the game play is basically the same as it was in previous installments, you begin your adventure with a starter pokemon you battle other trainers and catch more pokemon you buy items for your pokemon and you level up your poke-mon and eventually you fight some boss poke-mon and then earn all your badges. Though the game does have some touch ups here and there like new poke-mon and items it is not enough to call it a major change. Honestly to me this formula eventually got boring earning this game 7.0 in my eyes.
