Kanto is back and better than before

User Rating: 8 | Pocket Monsters LeafGreen GBA
Pokemon Leaf Green is the latest GBA addition to the long running game series. We go back where we started in 1995 during Red/Blue's glory days to the region of Kanto, this time the graphics have gone a massive step forward, the gameplay more addictive with the new double battles where you fight with 2 pokemon at once and the old favourite of single battles.
Leaf Green remains very similar to Red and Blue in terms of the role-play [a young kid from Pallet Town with a dream of becoming a Pokemon master] but that by no means is wrong, all the games have followed roughly the same storyline and yet it still remains a highly successful franchise, LeafGreen is a refined version with minor alterations which seem to make all the difference, the sprites have been improved and the pokeball actually looks like a pokeball and not the kind of ball you expected to see on a Pool table. The one on one battles remain enjoyable and overall generates a stronger experience to the gameplay.

Those who couldn't get enough of the Red and Blue versions on the GBC will simply not be able to resist the temptations that the new and improved Leaf Green has to offer.
