This is a great game for new Pokemon players who are just starting, or players that have been around since the games that this and Leaf Green are remakes of, Pokemon Green and Pokemon Red. I myself started out with Sapphire. Unlike the other games, the graphics are actually decent, very clear, easy to read.
PLOT
The basic plot of the game is to find and capture all 386 types of Pokemon. All of these cannot, however, be caught on this particular game. You need to trade through a GBA link cable or Wireless adapter to do that. You also must collect all of the official Gym Badges, won by defeating the 8 Gym Leaders of the game. You also need to defeat the Elite 4 and the Pokemon League champion so YOU can become a Champion.
GAMEPLAY
Anyway, you play through the game almost like an RPG, battling and capturing Pokemon and leveling up. It is a very fun experience, but once in a while you might find yourself stuck without any way to get past. However, that problem is solved: look at the walkthroughs here at gamespot and at GameFAQs!
GRAPHICS
The graphics are clear and nearly flawless, much better than Ruby/Sapphire.
SOUND
The battle soundtrack is pretty neat. It gets really awesome when you are battling Gym Leaders or Legendary Pokemon.
VALUE
When you come down to it, this game could really be pretty valuable.
OTHER NOTES
It's a great game overall, just a little frustrating sometimes and oddly addictive. If you have a link cable or a wireless adapter, I seriously recommend this game!!!
