Pokemon is a highly succesful franchise,so it isn't suprising that the games are so popular.Me and my 7 year old friends (back in 2001) played this game hours on end.Nearly everyboy had a gameboy and then if you had one you had to have this game.We traded back and forth with pokemon.

The best part was the old pokemon game in it with ALL the original towns + trainer!!!!!!The other thing was we always got the three starting pokemon + the original starting pokemon!!!Such fun.

The swapping was the best part.We sometimes shared cables back and forth to get it right.Me + my posse of 2 traded so we had 3 of each starter pokemon(using the infamous cloning cheat.I will discuss this later).We overcame the neutral boss in one go this way(the one with the cow).Also,fire was the most popular.With this,we always took the mareeps for the best effect.If it was real life we would have evry mareep extinct by now.

The cloning cheat was told by a fellow worsipper(forgot who it was) and it made life sooooo much easier,cloning pokemon after pokemon!!

This game changed my childhood and made concrete freindship foundation!! 100 out of 100!!
