Good Game! Good use of the Pokemon Franchise! Fun!

There are several things I like about this game. It isn't perfect, but is probably the best Pokemon offshoot made to date. The pokemon level up and the elemental types of the pokemon comes into play in a major way. The moves are taken right out of the original games, but modified to fit the new format. The pokemon look great too. The personality test to determine your pokemon is a nice twist.

The downsides of this game is you have to wait until you've completed the main quest to evolve your pokemon. This does help you to learn plenty of moves, but you'll find yourself probably wanting to evolve sooner. Sometimes it is hard to get a particular pokemon you like to join you. You're also required to use your starting pokemon until you've completed the main quest, which can be difficult if you're a fire pokemon trying to beat a water cave.

Overall, this game is very fun to play. The random dungeons are varied enough to keep you entertained. There are tons of pokemon in the game, it is easy to find some of your favorites. The moves are well adapted and fun to use. The game is fairly long and after completing the main quest you confronted with the larger task of collecting all the legendary pokemon, and evolving your trained pokemon.

Worth buying if you're a pokemon fan. Still it would be pretty fun if you're not.
