I remember receiving this game on my birthday back in 1999(yep, the same year it was released), and I played it immediately after opening it. I had so much fun playing pinball and catching Pokemon at the same time!
It's just like the basic Pokemon games: you start off in a certain town--or forest, or whatever--and you can only catch whatever Pokemon inhabit that area. In order to catch a Pokemon after in "Catch" mode, you would need to go to the upper field of the pinball machine and hit either Voltorbs or Shellders.
(it all depends on whether you're playing on the red or blue field) After you've hit them enough times, the picture of the Pokemon on the bottom screen will be revealed and the Pokemon will appear, giving you the opportunity to hit it with the Pokeball and catch hit.
I still have this game safe and sound with all my other video games. This will be a great game for years and years to come!
