As a first grader, I first found this game fun, but 6 years later, I still love that Pikachu. It hooked me on games.

When I was a first grader, I could easily play this game. Today, my little brothers love to play it, even though they can't read properly yet. By the end of second grade and many times losing the game, I was almost the champ. An easily challenging, but fun game was in my path, and nothing would stop me. I now have the same experience with a new file as a seventh grader, loving that cute Pika. I got this for my sixth birthday and love it on my thirteenth. I find it clunky by today's standards, but by yesterday's, perfect. My only problem back then? I didn't even know how to use a pokecenter. Just read other reviews before you buy this, as it is an old game.
The series I judge this by is Red, Blue, and Yellow, not the entire Pokemon.
I say that they should be judged by time period, since Crystal is not necessarily better than Yellow, and Leaf Green is not better than Emerald, and vice versa. Thank you for reading and standing my little rant!
